Getting Started
Download the app, sign up with your phone number, and then you will be taken through onboarding steps to create a profile. Including your bio, dog info, and photos/preferences.
Nuzzl is for use by adults age 18 or older. The nuzzl app and events are not for use by children under the age of 18.
No. Dog lovers, future dog parents, and people who simply enjoy the dogfriendly lifestyle are all welcome to use Nuzzl
This is to ensure everyone has full profiles. We are not like other dating apps! We don’t want empty or half-filled profiles. We want a better experience for our users and our app is meant for people that really want to meet someone.
Try updating your photos, adding more detail to your profile, or adjusting your filters like distance or advanced filters. Small changes can make a big difference.
Availability & Waitlist
Nuzzl takes a demand-based approach to availability city by city. Once a specific city waitlist has enough people, the app will launch for that city. You can check the nuzzl.com website for the latest launch city list.
We don’t want the app to be empty when we launch in a city, so we simply wait till enough people in a city are signed up for our waitlist. Once that happens, a city will be made available and launch. So the best way to get Nuzzl to your city faster is to sign up for the waitlist with your info and tell your single friends!
This is to ensure Nuzzl has enough users in the app when you first try us out. The waitlist is purely to get enough people notified to try the app when it launches.
Profile, Dogs & DogFriendly Features
When you go through onboarding you’ll be asked about your dog and have the opportunity to upload photos of your dog as well.
If you have more than one dog, simply enter their names separated by a comma (,) in the name section, and you can upload photos of your dogs. Nuzzl has one dog section for each user but can have multiple dogs showing.
Yes, Nuzzl is for people that love dogs, not just dog owners. We welcome anyone that wants to find other dog loving people.
Yes. You can add each dog’s name, and include them in your dog photos.
Matching, Likes & Gifting
We basically operate on a double blind liking system. If you like a persons profile simply tap the like (heart) button. If that person sees your profile and also likes you, there is a match! Another way to match is to send someone’s dog a gift/treat. Tap the gift button and send an e-gift card. If they see your gift offer, and accept, you are instantly matched.
The like section shows likes you have received as well as any gift offers. If you are not a premium subscribers, the likes are hidden. If you are a subscriber you can see the profile of who likes yo.
If you tap the Gift button, you can purchase and send a gift to someone’s dog. You can choose an e-gift card to send. They will see your gift offer and if they accept, you will be instantly matched. If the decline your offer, the gift card is added back in your own profile under “my gifts”. You can then redeem it to use yourself or send it to the next person.
Yes, if someone declines your gift offer, the e-gift card is returned to your account under “My gifts”. You can send it to another person, or redeem it yourself.

No, Nuzzl does not access your actual GPS location at anytime. Instead, you enter your zip code and matches are shown based on that.
No, we have no complex algorithms or AI. Profiles are shown based on your filters and preferences.
Daily highlights are up to 5 profiles that match your preferences, refreshed every 24 hours.
Yes, Nuzzl offers both voice and video calls from within the chat experience.

When turned on, only the profiles you like first will see you.
Once you match, you can message in your matches/chat section.
Open the matches menu, tap the match, then tap the 3 dots to unmatch.
