Get Started with the Nuzzl Dating App!

Here’s a quick start guide on how to use Nuzzl!  Tips on setting up your dating profile and how to use its key features to find your match!  Nuzzl was created because of the belief that dating app experiences can be better!  Dog people make better partners and for better relationships, and the Nuzzl app will help you find your person!

 

Creating Your Dating Profile

Nuzzl requires everyone to have a full profile (we don’t allow empty or partials), so when you first create an account, the app walks you through step by step to create your profile.  This helps weed out the people that aren’t serious about making a connection, but also improves your ability to search for the right person!

If you are a dog lover but don’t currently have a dog, you’ll see a toggle that removes the dog section of the profile.  Nuzzl is for anyone that loves dogs, you don’t have to be a dog owner to use it!

Photos are always an important part of any dating profile! You’ll get the opportunity to upload photos of yourself and a set of photos for your dog(s).  Its always a good idea to make sure your photos are well lit, hi resolution, and showcase yourself, you and your dog, or things that show you personality.   Everyone is required to have at least 2 photos for themselves and 2 in their dog(s) section

Filling out your Dogs Section

Besides photos, you’ll also be asked to fill in your dog(s) names. If you have multiple dogs, enter their names separated by a comma.  You’ll also get to select their breeds. For multiple dogs or mixed breeds select as many as apply. These breeds will be tagged on your profile.  This allows you or others to filter for specific breeds if they want to!

Live Video verification

To help fight against fake profiles and scammers that so many other dating apps deal with, everyone that uses Nuzzl has to verify through live video verification.  This process uses AI to match your live video with your main photo.  If you ever edit your profile later and change your main photo, you’ll have to reverify.

Main Menu / Navigation

Across the bottom is your main navigation menu. The first section on the left is the search section with a card stack of singles you can explore.  This is followed by the daily recommendations section, then the likes section, events section and finally your matches/chat section

Searching for Singles & Premium Subscriptions

The basic experience with Nuzzl is free. You’ll get to “like” up to 15 profiles per day and unlimited “dislikes” and unlimited sending treats/gifts.  You also have access to free basic filters including gender, distance, and age.  Once you’ve used up your 15 free likes, you’ll have to wait 24 hours to continue or upgrade to a premium subscription.

Buying a premium subscription unlocks advanced filters so you can search for specific relationship types, whether they have kids, smoke, political beliefs and more.  All premium subscribers also get to see who liked them first, access to incognito mode, and even discounts on events!  Monthly subscribers also get 1 free treat gift each month to send to others.

There are weekly, monthly, 3 month, and 6 month subscriptions available. Plus a FREE 24 Hour Premium trial for first time users to experience what the premium experience is like.1

 

Send a Treat/Gift to a dog to stand out!

One of the most unique things in Nuzzl is that you can send a treat to someone’s dog to help stand out and show you are interested!  Just tap the blue button in the center when viewing someone else’s profile allows you to send their dog a treat!  This is not a digital/fake “rose” or “super-like”, this is a real offer of a gift for treats to their dog in the form of an actual e-gift card to stores like PetSmart.  You can purchase a $2.50 or $5.00 gift card and to show someone you are really interested.

The other person gets an alert and sees your gift offer in their likes menu, and they can view your profile to decide to accept or decline.  If they accept your gift offer, you are instantly matched and the e-gift card is added into their account.   If they decline your offer, don’t worry you get the e-gift card back in your own profile and you can use it again for another person or even redeem is yourself to spoil your own dog!

It’s a unique no risk way to show interest and stand out, and help your chances of matching up with someone by showing their dog some love!

 

Dog Friendly Singles Events

Nuzzl will also have regular dog friendly singles events!  Check the events section to see if there are events in your city. You can purchase tickets for events directly in the app or even on Nuzzl.com   All Nuzzl events are always dog friendly, and a great for those of you that want to get offline and see people in real life.  You can make new friends, meet potential connections, all with your furry friend in tow.

 

Matches and No Ghosting Policy

When you have a match, you’ll find them in your matches section.  Nuzzl features a No Ghosting Policy, to encourage conversation and staying active in the app. So when you first match, both parties have 3 days to send a message. If you fail to send a message, the match is deleted and you receive a strike on your account.  Too many strikes and you could be removed from the app.   We want people to actually communicate, no one likes being Ghosted!  To avoid breaking the rule, you can send a message to start the conversation, or simply unmatch the person if you change your mind.

Nuzzl also offers voice and video calling with matches, so you don’t have to worry about giving our your phone number.  Its always a good idea to talk to someone to get to know them beyond just messages. You can see these options when you start chatting with one of your matches.
