Nuzzl Terms of Use

Effective Date: December 1, 2025

Welcome to Nuzzl. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Nuzzl mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Nuzzl Inc. (“Nuzzl,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

  1. Eligibility

To use Nuzzl, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (not any body corporate, partnership or other business entity)
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
  • Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
  • Not have been previously removed from the Service without written permission to rejoin
  • You are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country;
  • You are not on any list of individuals prohibited from conducting business with the United States (for example, the U.S. Treasury Department’s list of Specially Designated Nationals or any similar government agency list) nor do you face any other similar prohibition);
  • You are not prohibited by law from using our Services;
  • You have not committed, been convicted of, or pled no contest to any crime involving violence or a threat of violence, or sexual misconduct.
  • You do not have any other accounts on our Services

If at any time you cease to meet these requirements, all authorization to access our Services or systems is automatically revoked, and you must immediately delete your account, and we retain the right to remove your access to our Services without warning in our sole discretion.

The license granted to you under these Terms and any authorization to access the Services is automatically revoked in the event that you do any of the above.

  1. Account Registration and Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account
  • Use your real name and age
  • Treat other users respectfully and follow our Community Guidelines
  • Comply with these Terms, and check this page from time to time to ensure you are aware of any changes;
  • Comply with all applicable laws, including without limitation, privacy laws, intellectual property laws, anti-spam laws, and regulatory requirements;
  • Use the latest version of the Website and/or App;
  • Treat other users in a courteous and respectful manner, both on and off our Services;
  • Be respectful when communicating with any of our customer care representatives or other employees;
  • Present yourself respectfully and authentically by adding at least one photo that shows your face.

You may not:

  • Create more than one account
  • Share your account or use someone else’s
  • Use the Service for commercial, fraudulent, or unlawful purposes
  • Misrepresent your identity, age, employment (current or previous), qualifications, or affiliations with a person or entity;
  • Use the Services in a way that damages the Services or prevents their use by other users;
  • Use our Services in a way to interfere with, disrupt or negatively affect the platform, the servers, or our Services’ networks;
  • Use our Services for any harmful, illegal, or nefarious purpose, including, but not limited to, using any Virtual Items for purposes of money laundering or other financial crimes;
  • Harass, bully, stalk, intimidate, assault, defame, harm or otherwise mistreat any person;
  • Post or share Prohibited Content (see below);
  • Solicit passwords for any purpose, or personal identifying information for commercial or unlawful purposes from other users or disseminate another person’s personal information without his or her permission;
  • Solicit money or other items of value from another user, whether as a gift, loan, or form of compensation;
  • Use another user’s account or share your account with another person;
  • Use our Services in relation to fraud, a pyramid scheme, or other similar practice;
  • Use our Services in relation to any political campaign financing or for the purpose of influencing any election, other than sharing your own personal political opinions.
  • Violate the terms of the license granted to you by Nuzzl
  • Disclose private or proprietary information that you do not have the right to disclose;
  • Copy, modify, transmit, distribute, or create any derivative works from, any Member Content or Our Content, or any copyrighted material, images, trademarks, trade names, service marks, or other intellectual property, content or proprietary information accessible through our Services without Nuzzl’s prior written consent;
  • Express or imply that any statements you make are endorsed by Nuzzl;
  • Use any robot, crawler, site search/retrieval application, proxy or other manual or automatic device, method or process to access, retrieve, index, “data mine,” or in any way reproduce or circumvent the navigational structure or presentation of our Services or its contents;
  • Upload viruses or other malicious code or otherwise compromise the security of our Services;
  • Forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers to disguise the origin of any information transmitted to or through our Services;
  • “Frame” or “mirror” any part of our Services
  • Modify, adapt, sublicense, translate, sell, reverse engineer, decipher, decompile or otherwise disassemble any portion of our Services, or cause others to do so;
  • Use or develop any third-party applications or services that directly interact with our Services or Member Content or information without our written consent, including but not limited to artificial intelligence or machine learning systems;
  • Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our Services or any system or network;
  • Encourage, promote, or agree to engage in any activity that violates these Terms;
  • Create a new account after we suspend or terminate your account, unless you receive our express permission; or
  • Submit a report about a member’s behavior or content that is false, misleading, or otherwise manifestly unfounded, or abuse any Nuzzl reporting or appeals request system made available.
  1. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post, but grant Nuzzl a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the Service.

You agree not to post any content that is or contains:

  • Nudity, sexually explicit material, or hate speech
  • Personal contact information or financial data
  • Content that violates laws or third-party rights
  • Misleading, defamatory, or harmful content
  • Content that could reasonably be deemed to be offensive or to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person;
  • obscene, pornographic, violent or otherwise may offend human dignity, or contains nudity;
  • abusive, insulting or threatening, discriminatory or that promotes or encourages racism, sexism, hatred or bigotry;
  • illegal or encourages or facilitates any illegal activity including, without limitation, terrorism, human trafficking, money muling, child abuse and exploitation, or the incitement of violence or hatred;
  • Sale or promotion of animals
  • Veterinary advice or health claims
  • Misrepresentation of pet ownership or breed
  • Encourages or facilitates any activity that may result in harm to the user or another person, including, but not limited to, promotion of self-harm, eating disorders, dangerous challenges, violent extremism, or harmful misinformation;
  • defamatory, libelous, or untrue;
  • Relates to commercial activities (including, without limitation, sales, competitions, employment or investment opportunities, promotions, and advertising, solicitation for services, “sugar daddy” or “sugar baby” relationships, links to other websites or premium line telephone numbers);
  • Involves the transmission of “junk” mail or “spam”;
  • Contains any spyware, adware, viruses, corrupt files, worm programs or other malicious code designed to interrupt, damage or limit the functionality of or disrupt any software, hardware, telecommunications, networks, servers or other equipment, Trojan horse or any other material designed to damage, interfere with, wrongly intercept or expropriate any data or personal information whether from Nuzzl or otherwise;
  • Infringes upon any third party’s rights (including, without limitation, intellectual property rights and privacy rights);
  • Includes the image or likeness of another person without that person’s consent (or in the case of a minor, the minor’s parent or guardian), or is an image or likeness of a minor unaccompanied by the minor’s parent or guardian;
  • Is inconsistent with the intended use of the Services; or
  • May harm the reputation of Nuzzl or its affiliates, meaning the uploading or sharing of content on the platform that is defamatory to Nuzzl or its affiliates or advocates misuse of the Service or any service provided by affiliates.

The uploading or sharing of content that violates these Terms (“Prohibited Content”) may result in the immediate suspension or termination of your account.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

  1. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Harass, stalk, or harm other users
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools
  • Promote commercial products or services
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the Service
  • Submit false reports or appeals
  • Bring aggressive dogs to any Events (which require all dogs to always remain under the control of their owner)

You agree to:

  • Always control your dog(s) if attending a dog friendly event including remaining on leash
  • Always be responsible for your behavior and your dogs behavior at any Nuzzl events or in person experiences.

Safety & Conduct

We may remove accounts that violate our safety rules or these Terms. If an account is removed for safety-related reasons, we may notify users who have interacted with that account. We may cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law or where we believe such cooperation is necessary to protect the safety of our users or the public.

  1. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy at https://nuzzl.com/privacy-policy/ to understand how we collect, use, and share your data.

Privacy & Sensitive Data

We collect only the information necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the Service. Certain information may be considered sensitive, and we process such information only with your consent or as permitted by applicable law. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements.

  1. Subscriptions and Payments

Nuzzl offers free and paid features.

Paid subscriptions:

  • Auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
  • Are billed through your app store (Apple or Google)
  • May be eligible for refunds based on local laws (e.g., California’s 3-day cancellation rule)

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your app store settings.

Subscription Transparency

We clearly disclose subscription pricing, billing frequency, auto-renewal terms, and cancellation instructions prior to purchase. Subscription management and cancellation are available through your account settings in the applicable app store.

Event Tickets and Gift Items:

Event tickets are:

  • Non-refundable
  • Non-transferable
  • Processed for payment via Stripe (i.e credit card payment) and subject to Stripe’s Terms of Service for more info visit www.stripe.com

Gift Items (e-gift cards) are:

  • Non-refundable
  • Processed for payment via Stripe (i.e credit card payment) and subject to Stripe’s Terms of Service for more info visit www.stripe.com
  1. Honest Notifications

Nuzzl does not create fake profiles, fake likes, fake matches, or misleading notifications. All activity, notifications, and interactions shown within the Service reflect real user activity and genuine interactions.

  1. Refunds and Consumer Rights

Refunds are generally not provided except where required by law. Users in certain jurisdictions may have additional rights:

  • California residents may cancel within three business days of purchase
  • EU and UK users may withdraw from purchases within 14 days under applicable consumer laws

To request a refund, contact support@nuzzl.com with your account details and reason for the request.

  1. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful behavior.

Upon termination:

  • Your license to use the Service ends
  • We may retain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes
  1. Background Checks

Nuzzl does not conduct criminal background or identity verification checks. It does not guarantee the background or criminal history of any of its users.

  1. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

You agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration, except for small claims or injunctive relief.

You waive the right to participate in class actions.

This clause is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.

  1. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Delaware and you consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

  1. Accessibility

Nuzzl is committed to providing an inclusive experience. We strive to comply with applicable accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

  1. Data Portability and Deletion Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction or deletion
  • Export your data in a portable format

To exercise these rights, contact support@nuzzl.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

  1. Automated Decision-Making and AI Use

Nuzzl may use automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to:

  • Suggest matches
  • Moderate content
  • Live Video Verification

By using Nuzzl, you consent to the use of automated systems, including AI, for matchmaking, moderation purposes and live video verification.

These systems do not make legally binding decisions. If you believe an automated decision has negatively affected you, you may request human review by contacting support@nuzzl.com.

  1. Moderation and Appeals

If your content is removed or your account is suspended, you may appeal by submitting a request to support@nuzzl.com. We will review appeals within a reasonable timeframe and notify you of the outcome.

  1. Third-Party Services

Nuzzl may integrate with third-party services (e.g., Stripe, Apple Pay, Amazon). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Nuzzl is not responsible for third-party content or functionality.

  1. Children’s Data

Nuzzl does not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will delete their account and associated data.

  1. Safety and Liability Disclaimer

Nuzzl is not responsible for the conduct of users or for any offline interactions. You agree to use caution and follow safety guidelines when meeting others.

We disclaim all liability for damages arising from user interactions, including emotional distress, bodily harm, or financial loss.

  1. No Guarantees

We do not guarantee matches, connections, dates, relationships, or outcomes of any kind. Any examples, success stories, or illustrations provided through the Service are for informational purposes only and do not represent typical or guaranteed results.

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both online and offline. You agree to exercise caution, common sense, and good judgment when communicating with others, sharing personal information, or meeting in person.

  1. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and software associated with Nuzzl are the property of Nuzzl and TX2CH LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

  1. App Store License Agreement

Acknowledgement
This License Agreement is between you and Nuzzl, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.

Scope of License
The license granted to you for the Service is a limited, non-transferable license to use the Service on any Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the Service may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.

Maintenance and Support
Nuzzl is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services with respect to the Service. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services.

Warranty
In the event of any failure of the Service to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the Service to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Service, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be Nuzzl’s sole responsibility.

Product Claims
Nuzzl, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Service or your possession and/or use of the Service, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the Service fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.

Intellectual Property Rights
In the event of any third-party claim that the Service or your possession and use of the Service infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, Nuzzl, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.

Legal Compliance
You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Third-Party Terms of Agreement
You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the Service.

Third-Party Beneficiary
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this License Agreement, and upon your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this License Agreement, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this License Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.

SMS Consent

By providing your mobile phone number on our waitlist and opting in to receive SMS messages from Nuzzl, you consent to receive text messages related to the app launch in your city. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of using the Nuzzl app or signing up for the waitlist.

Opt‑Out Instructions (STOP)

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. After you send STOP, you will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you opt in again.

Help Instructions (HELP)

For assistance with our SMS program, reply HELP to any Nuzzl message or contact us at support@nuzzlapp.com.

Message Frequency

You will receive one SMS message related to your waitlist signup the app is available in your area. No additional messages will be sent unless you separately opt in to another Nuzzl SMS program.

Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard messaging and data charges may be incurred. Nuzzl is not responsible for any charges from your carrier.

Carrier Liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Eligibility

By opting in, you represent that you are the owner or authorized user of the mobile number provided and that you are at least 18 years old.

Data Use

Your phone number and SMS consent status are processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
